چکیده

The objective of this paper is to present some of our recent developments in meshless methods. In particular, a technique is given ± the method of ®nite spheres ± that is truly meshless in nature in the sense that the nodes are placed and the numerical integration is performed without a mesh. The method can be viewed as a special case of the general formulation known as the meshless local Petrov±Galerkin (MLPG) procedure. Some of the novel features of the method of ®nite spheres are the numerical integration scheme and the way in which the Dirichlet boundary conditions are incorporated. A new way of modeling doubly-connected domains is also presented. Various example problems are solved to demonstrate the method. Synthesis of Carbon Spheres of Controlled Size by Hydrothermal Method

Carbon Spheres were fabricated by hydrothermal method and their structural properties were investigated. Carbon Spheres with average sizes around of 230, 320 and 430 nm were synthesized in different concentration of glucose aqueous solution and different hydrothermal reaction time. The temperature of 180 °C by a hydrothermal reaction was fixed in all of glucose concentration and hydrothermal re...

On analytical transformations for efficiency improvements in the method of finite spheres

During the last ten years, various meshless techniques have been developed to solve complex boundary value problems. However, there is still not yet an efficient meshless method available for general linear static analysis. The method of finite spheres is a promising meshless technique with respect to efficiency and applicability [1]. In this paper, improvements of the method of finite spheres ...

Finite Element Simulation of Contact Mechanics of Cancer Cells in Manipulation Based on Atomic Force Microscopy

The theory of contact mechanics deals with stresses and deformations which arise when the surfaces of two solid bodies are brought into contact. In elastic deformation contact occurs over a finite area. A regular method for determining the dimensions of this area is Hertz Contact Model. Appearance of atomic force microscope results in introduction of Contact ...

Multi-step Coating of Monodisperse Silica Spheres by Titania Nanoparticles Base on Electrostatic Attraction Strategy

TiO2-SiO2 core-shell particles include of monodisperse silica core and nanostructured titania shell were synthesized by a multi-step coating process. The monodisperse silica spheres were synthesized by Stöber method and titania shell was obtained of a colloidal sol prepared by a hydrolysis–condensation reaction. The titania sol was deposited on monodisperse silica spheres by a multi-step coatin...

On the method of finite spheres in applications: towards the use with ADINA and in a surgical simulator

In this paper we report some recent advances regarding applications using the method of finite spheres; a truly meshfree numerical technique developed for the solution of boundary value problems on geometrically complex domains. First, we present the development of a preprocessor for the generation of nodal points on twodimensional computational domains. Then, the development of a specialized v...
